It is difficult to know how the Tibetan people in Tibet experience their lives today. Was there ever in history a democracy or a personal level of freedom in Tibet ? Was there any schooling and education for the peasants in the history of Tibet ? I would like to ask the Tibetans in Tibet how they live, how they feel ? How they perceive their freedoms and constrictions. Is it different for them than for other peoples in other countries? I am a social/cultural anthropologist. In the early ‘80 ‘s I was a student and on my own choice and finances I spend 5 months in Ladack learning about the country and its people and even practicing some six weeks of solitair meditation in a meditationcave near Hemis monastery. It was the most liberating experience in my life.
Incredibly illuminating discussion. The UN is controlled by China, and Canada and Europe are paying for it badly. US population is clueless to the situation…
Tibet has always been one of the most ignored and abandoned nations in the modern world. Unfortunately Tibet has not proved it has petroleum or natural gas and that to great extent explains the West’s total neglect of Tibet. It has only the newly decolonized and independent Bharat (India) 🇮🇳 that has provided a modicum of support to the battered Tibetan leaders who are in exile and mostly accommodated in Bharat 🇮🇳 including his HH The Dalai Lama 🛑
Tibet is a part of China . move on
Why is this dude confused when we destroyed God….
This dude did not talk about any past Tibetan government. Here' s what I want to know
1. How many former serfs are in Tibetan exile
.2. Tibet never had democracy. Reincarnation is not an election. What kind of democracy are we talking about?
3. Tibet is now run by decendant of former serf. Do Dalai lama wanto be installed as a government.
4. Tibet in exile want to control who gets to live in Tibet. That is not democratic or constitutional
5. Tibet in exile also want to control land ownership. What does that mean. All reform will be repealed?
6. Tibet claim Tibet government need to address Tibetan's special need. That is why they need to govern all Tibetan inhibited area. Queens have 10000 Tibetans living there. Should we also set up Queens to be a Tibetan Autonomy Zone?
7. After Dalai Lama passed, are you going to let a 5 years old new Dalai lama rule? HE IS REICARNATED SO HE SHOULD BE ABLE TO, RIGHT?
Wow! Fascinating! What an excellent communicator Mr. Sangay is.
