In a general sense, ASEAN has enjoyed its cordial relationships and practical cooperation with Australia for years. But somehow if AUKUS, especially Australia, intends to own or buy nuclear submarines or nuclear weapons, mutual understanding, trust, and confidence and cooperation between ASEAN and Australia will be surely lost. Overall, ASEAN doesn't want to see any country promote nuclear weapons in this region.
