Paul might be able to travel there himself one day, but it'd be hard. It looked like the pool Neenee went to recently at COSI Vientiane Nam Phu is up a whole flight of stairs. If a brand new hotel doesn't have wheelchair access to its facilities, it probably won't be replaced with something properly designed within Paul's lifetime.

You are right when you say that the rainy season is the best to travel in, because everything is so green and fresh looking, and the scenery stunningly beautiful. I love how the clouds cling to the mountains making them look mysteriously inviting. That market with the civet and an animal that I have yet to identify was amazing. As you rightly say, you can't get your meat fresher than that pig which will soon be pork joints etc. Incidentally, a new species was discovered in a Laotian village market not that long ago, where it was being sold for food. The Laotian Rock Rat. Hope that you manage to find the young person that so desperately needs help. Be careful on those roads. Praying for you all that God will protect you.
