Holly Bowles’ household has confirmed the Melbourne teenager has died after an alleged methanol poisoning in Laos.
Holly is the sixth individual to die from the alleged poisoning, together with her good friend Bianca Jones passing away yesterday.

Drinking bootleg (home-made) alcohol is idiotic. Methanol distils before ethanol and is ever-present in bootleg drinks. It will get you sooner or later.

In my time at Vietnam, seen ppl had to flush the alcohol down to the toilet when the police came. And yes the drinks made me really sick next day. Another story from my friend, when he went to Vietnam two months ago, he got a bottle of vodka from the local shop. When he came back to his Airbnb and put the bottle of vodka in the freezer, it turned into ice!!!! Be careful going to those countries guys, I personally won’t go there again!
