It's a political protest aimed at using the cost of living to change democratic government. Looking at the demands, Nigerians want fuel currently selling at subsided 30pence per litre to be reduced to 5pence per litre, which is impossible. Other demands by some parts of Nigeria include the release of the leader of IPOB, an organisation Nigerian court declared as a terrorist organisation. Also, total scrapping of Nigeria constitution. The cost of living is just an excuse to bring people out for selfish political means.
