Nice narration & video.
This is at least not going to damage coastal ecosystems like the open net pens. Still, 8:40, the amount of wild caught fish needed to feed these fish negates the entire environmental argument. The pressure has just moved from the wild salmon to their prey. If the industry can move deep sea and feed them insect or vegetable protein, leaving the wild stocks alone to recover, I’d be all in. As I’ve worked in most aspects of the industry, I’ll never eat one! They’re utterly flavourless.
"Half Farm Fish Farm"(say that 3X real fast)
Why do humans kill innocent fish who have done nothing wrong to them.
Allowing the ship to change direction and leave a trail of poop in its wake
This is why eco systems are all screwed up, nothing to do with carbon. I wouldnt touch this shit, we have all sorts of problems with it in BC and most are run by Scandinavian countries
Narrator sounds like Guga Foods its got to be him
China is going copy right away!
Opps China just gotten new technologies on fish farming😂😂😂
So what I gather from this video is the West providing China with massive amounts of experience and infrastructure through purchasing these products. In the event of War which it will happen one day. All of these shipyards will be producing military vessels instead of these nice modern salmon Farms. Isn't it funny how the West is funding one of the world's most vicious dictatorships in the CCP. The leaders of these Western countries will be asking their public to send their sons and daughters to far lands to fight against the very equipment their mothers and grandparents funded. But through greed of the corporations and the politicians the sheeple just follow along. Wouldn't it be nice if Norway built their own fish farms? At least buy it through a democracy. But no these corporations have to have access to cheaper labor to sell us their products but I guess we're not good enough to build those products anymore. Shame on the western public for going along with all of this year after year
An earthquake with magnitude 12 on the Richter scale would probably split the planet in half! 😮
Yes genetically modified fishes feed with dog food and antibiotics
stay away from farm fish !
Continuous Chinese Bullshit propaganda … still !
Likely not even Remotely true.. as bonus.
Once the human population has been culled, and there is less demand for seafood, rigs like this will restore the worlds oceans to their former bountiful glory.
It's all heading to disaster, so bucket up and enjoy the ride while it last, 7.5 billion and counting 😅😂😅😂 let's dam up some more salmon rivers , that way once the fish are gone then humans can start eatting their own shit !!!😅😂😅🎉🎉🎉😊
At least they are completely hideous.
Why don’t these things move around to thin out the fish waste and exercise the fish… why don’t they make 2 kilometre linear nets attached to floatation that have engines that can travel around a designated area. When the fish are ready just scoop the net up or have a water vacuum to suck the fish into a barge. This stuff seems like overkill.
Cool ship cool tech. A lot of people in the comments didnt seem to watch the whole video lol. These kinds of innovations are needed and this is a big improvement over existing fish farming technology.
I hate farm raised fish – they eat their own 💩
Real Americans eat wild fish.Liberals at turd salmon.
Seems better than jaming them all into a closed pond. But probably feeding them gmo
Farmed Fish = most toxic meat you can eat
I've heard the Scandinavian countries only sell farmed Salmon. Yikes. I'm sure I've had farmed Salmon in restaurants, but I've never asked. I don't buy farmed Salmon or shrimp. I also am transitioning to only organic beef and chicken. It's quite expensive, so I only include fish and meat 3 or 4 times a week, and small portions. It's really hard to cut out junk & processed food, but I'm enjoying healthy food, but it took 10 years of incremental changes.
I like the video, but can you not have your logo at the top right continuously cycle it's animation? It's oddly distracting. Just leave it displayed.
When you think that 71% of the earth is covered in water , fish farming for an increasing population is the only sensible way to go.
Since it's tethered to a spot the waste is spread just marginally better than the cages. It still uses toxic feed Nothing new, farmed salmon are toxic.
What is with the annoying slow voice??
nice calm music in bckground! love it!
Considering the level of carbon in fish poop, would such large fish farms be located over or proximal to deep ocean trenches or deep ocean plane thus disposing of the waste into the deep marine snow locking carbon away for many centuries or more.
They don't tell you that the pollution caused by these floating sh*t farms; the result of thousands of tons of fish feces falling down every day in one area is killing wild salmon in the ocean by spreading fungal diseases onto wild fish and killing them off. farm salmon are typically sick and their flesh has to be dyed pink; otherwise nobody would buy them because they are a sickly whitish grey in color without the dye.
Sad to see three way undersized sturgeon among the fish market fish shown at 0:24
China is great country ig, they manage to build something like that.
🤞😅
PHILIPPINES SHOULD HAVE THIS PROMOTING MORE JOBS AND EXPORT!
Bagus sekali
As an introvert, sounds like perfect place for a lifetime job.
Could the automated voice speak any slower
Seafreshh ❤
0 omega3…. Corn fed
Still cannot compete with 3,000 mile or more free wild ocean swimming salmons! This fish is high salted, purchased two times recently n stated as so-called lightly salted did not like! US
Marine life narratrd in this video
Utterly dreadful.
1. Not a word is said about the conditions of the fish, their quality of life, how packed they are, or what their diet is.
2. LNG engines are not environmentally friendly. That’s an intentional lie.
3. Salmon farming is bad in so many other ways. The fish are unhealthy to eat due to the stress they experience, the lack of their natural food, the pests they become much more likely to suffer from, and the many harsh chemicals used, including antibiotics. The amount of waste dumped into the ocean is also an environmental concern. Basically, the industry is trashing our oceans for free to make profit that everyone else needs to pay for later on.
Thats a lot of fish shit
These farms are necessary in modern times to protect ocean life from getting depleted due to high demand, These farms can significantly reduce food prices too.
