Lao Youth Shines in International Art Contest

Six Lao college students triumphed within the 2024 Worldwide Youth Portray Assortment and Exhibition in China, securing prime honors amongst entries from eight nations.

Held underneath the theme “Whats up! Silk Highway,” The competitors attracted a complete of two,216 submissions from nations together with China, Singapore, Laos, Romania, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Tanzania.

Eleven-year-old Theppanya Silimouk from Laos gained first prize for his portray, which highlighted cultural landmarks from each Laos and China. His art work depicted the Laos-China Railway, the Nice Wall of China, the Patuxai Monument, and different symbols impressed by the Silk Highway.

Out of the 15 work submitted by 15 Lao people, six acquired awards together with Vattana Khampilavong and Sidarat Vongkhamchan gained second prizes, whereas Kaojiajoun earned third place. In addition to that, Mouthita Phomviengxay  and Thanadon Manivong had been acknowledged with congratulatory prizes.
