You gotta love FELIX (spock)
What will be great, is when the off-worlders finally share their technology for absolutely silent aircraft and get over this reaction motor noisy primitive crap!!!😂😂😂
Im telling you its not going to work. The time when a new really successful company will be created, SpaceX will colonize the galaxy
😊😊
Maverick would not be jealous. DarkStar reached Mach 10.
The term 'Rocket plane' is only about 80 years old now.
Plane + Rocket..
Plocket!!
Anyone calculate how much carbon it emits? Lol
donno who's idea was to put this text right in the middle of the short – but that was very annoying. Don't do that. We can hear and understand what you're saying without permanent CC
Old tec advertising
I think that Rocket and plane in 1 body is called SSTO
I love this channel, but am I the only one who thinks our man looks like the devil himself?
Is basically the space shuttle thrown in the atmosphere.
NOTE TO THE EDITOR: the subtitles in the middle of the video ruins the magic of it. Please, place them lower.
No talents are essentially test platforms for components of hypersonic weapons that are in development and reaching production levels soon so kind of rapidly developing the talent to rapidly develop weapons based off the hypersonic research we did for weapons like 30 years ago but we're just now actually investing in them because, well DC finally pulled its head out of its ass and realized China has a bullseye on us…!
We could/should have had an Hypersonic Weapon fielded ~2016-2018, but funding was pulled ~2011…
So it’s a plocket?
Would be a cool concept for hypersonic travel across long distances.
For anyone into aerospace, can we all just acknowledge that we are in the beginning of a glorious golden age?
its a rocket plane
I'm going with; "it's a Plocket."
Right now it's a jet.
Placket
No such thing as a “space ship”. Nothing leaves earth.
Never heard of any of this till now and feel like I would rather not know something this useless
You say plane rocket I hear plocket
Maverick would be jealous, but not the Kinzhal. Catch up
That's not even the fastest mach that humans have flown in an rocket plane is it.
No official operational aircraft aside from space craft do what maverick does tho. Tho fictional. He still is the only one to fly an air breathing plane mach 10 and without a drop plane like the X plane needed.
What's it for?
Looks like a flying brick to me… Just sayin'
Well known its not tho
With over two hundred tons lifting capacity, the Stratolaunch could well become the first stage of a fully recoverable ISS taxi for crew exchange missions. For the second stage, a rocket with landing legs, recovered like a small SpaceX Falcon 9 St.1 on a floating plateform would be used and as third and orbit reaching stage, a very safe wingless crew lifting body vehicle like a Sierra Space Dreamchaeser with one or two vacuum Merlin type engines could then descent like a shuttle with lift and more time to dissipate heat to land finally like a plane, not with 4 parachute into the sea while having to wait for good weather. Then, only the third stage attached very small 3D composite jettison tanks, two or four of them, would be lost, dropped just before orbital speed (like the Shuttle did with its belly main tank, but here with very small 3rd stage only fighters like jettison range expander fuel tanks) . Tanks can also be dropped while beginning the return in the very high troposphere …while consuming this minor bottles loss, a very small $ unrecoverable portion of the entire launcher, all the heavy weight of a massive heat shielding to recover some SS empty tank like on a big Starship can be saved and avoided. The three stage load to weight ratio is better than with two stage only. For reference, the Falcon 9 has one expensive vacuum Merlin lost on the second stage. Note that with fully re-ignitable Merlin types engines, the second stage could also boost the Stratolaunch acceleration during take off during 30-40 seconds . Then, in any case, some air refuelling of the second stage making up LOX and RP-1 with tanker airplanes is also one possibility to increase overall launcher capacity without increasing the overall the take off weight over the limit. so, all those concepts are proven techniques and hardwares but for once, working together with much more synergies to cut cost with the upmost full recovery of a light weight 3 stages launcher with much less fuel altogether…but current competition amongst private firm programs makes it difficult to consolidate w/o NASA taking the full lead for instance like for a moon program..😂
It's a plocket. Or a rane.
Its the slowest rocket in the world to get to space ^^ Falcon 4min stratolaunch 1hrs+
Who really cares? Just another Toy ! ROC is just another Launch platform …
Not designed to go to space? Then what’s the point?
I wanna ride. Weeeeeeee 😅😊
America where the lines between gender are blurred
Why did anyone thought we would even expect a line between Rocket and a Plane.
The us is way way behind in hypersonics
Why build two when there isn't enough work to keep one busy.
Wow that aircraft was really testing Stratolaunches payload limits
It is neither a rocket nor a plane, it's a shuttle
