Why did so many of these documentaries portray the Japanese as the victims the Japanese were cruel and ruthless. Wherever they went, they raped, tortured murdered, innocent people. Have they not been bombed, they would still be doing it today. There is no such thing as Japanese honor
Another ridiculous, modern, revisionist attempt to mislead today's people about events of the past. I love the Japanese people today, indeed my sister-in-law is Japanese. However, as she has told me, the government and military of Japan in the 1930's-'40s were brutal, arrogant, murderous people. The atrocities committed against the Chinese civilian population, and the Allied military, were absolute crimes against humanity that should never be forgotten. It is always a tragedy when civilians are killed in war, but the USA's use of two inhumane bombs to end a horrible war was not only called for in the circumstances, it was almost necessary to show the Japanese leadership that further resistance would be suicide.

I really hate to bring this up, but we treated Japanese prisoners of war a heck of alot better than they treated our POWs. We never forced them to perform massive slave labor, or forced them on a Bataan Death March. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't there, nor was I alive back then, but from everything that I've read we didn't treat them poorly. Granted there were most likely isolated incidents of mistreating the Japanese POWs, but it wasn't very well supported to treat them poorly here in the US.
