Hope that more big countries will order the China Comac C919 jetliner for their domestic flight instead of the Boeing 737 Max jetliner which has many different safety issues, example the 2 fatal Boeing 737 Max crashed that killed 346 people (one was the Lion Air flight 610 on October 29, 2018 and the other was an Ethiopian Airline flight 302 on March 10, 2019) Also in April 2018, in a Boeing 737 NG Southwest flight 1380 aircraft, a woman was partially sucked out of a window that resulted in the woman's death after the plane's engine fan blades break, the debris was supposed to be contained and eject out the rear of the engine but instead hit on one of the plane's window which caused the window's glass to break. And recently in January 2024, during a mid-air flight at a frightening height of 16,000 feet in an Alsaka Airline (Boeing 737 Max) plane, a door plug blew off which left a big opening on the plane's exit door. Hope the FAA will re-consider on the certification of approval for all Boeing planes

Seriously dude, the C919 is safer than Boeing. At this point, I rather fly C919 than Boeing. Who knows another part might fly off with missing screws while I'm onboard the Boeing. Boeing have already admitted to misdrilled holes along the fuselage & parts.
Chinese people deserve to prosper. Their main challenge is not a military threat, but instead just keeping the thing going. There are problems with water, energy, and just the mere ability to provide living conditions.
The way forward is to manufacture things and export them, as they have been doing. The only shift ought to be toward production that cannot be easily automated, or in other words, production that relies on people.
I have travelled on Chinese high speed trains. At 320 km/h I was able to stand a coin on its edge and it just stayed there, not moving. If their aircraft are to the same standard (and if they want to sell internationally then they would have to be), then I would rather travel on a C919 than a Boeing 737.
What US is likely to do is to buy a few of these Chinese planes, sabotage them & make them crash, then say they are unsafe. A very typically American way of dealing with competition. The Americans are mentally unsound today. Prove me wrong!

C919 uses older jet engines which consume more gas and shorter range, they are higher in cost to operate and maintain. Over a long period of time, Chinese airline companies have to pay more for a cheaper plane, also are in risk of no replacement parts from the western companies due to sanctions.

The purpose of C919 is to replace Boeing with Chinese own manufacture of the 1,200 planes. C919 doesn't have to compete with Boeing but to make Chinese aviation self sufficient. With the US operating an anti-China policy China must "de-risk" from the US well before the US's decoupling from China. China sees what US has been doing and has prepared itself ready for decoupling.

C919 is a terrible choice, its not nearly certified for international flights. It lacks on so many things like economy. Fuel consumption is not competative, maintanace cycles too short (time on wing losses, cost of service) Most of the plane is a generation back outdated. Since at least over 75% of the plane relies on western imports and stolen technologie (jet engines) there is not much RnD on the chinese side. Of course, the chinese state may subsidy this Industrie as usual, it will never make any profit

I had said many times before in Yahoo forum (before it was abolished) and now in YT, China must utilise its own manufactured planes as much as possible. Why?
1) It can saved billions of $ from buying foreign made planes.
2) It can provide more jobs to its own people.
3) It can provide more business opportunities to other suppliers.
4) Last but not least, it can minimize the risk of Boeing planes being used as dive bombers* in case of a war between China and America.
