A Cambodian villager was killed after he drove a truck loaded with cassava over an anti-tank landmine on his farm, an official stated on Saturday.

The incident occurred in northwestern Battambang province on Friday when the unidentified villager “ran over an anti-tank landmine, the remnant of conflict,” Heng Ratana, director basic of the federal government’s Cambodian Mine Motion Centre (CMAC), stated in a Fb submit.
Two Cambodian deminers had been killed on Thursday whereas making an attempt to take away a decades-old anti-tank mine from a rice area that was as soon as a battlefield between authorities forces and Khmer Rouge troopers.
