On March 21, to mark his appointment as Morris Wasserstein Public Curiosity Professor of Regulation, Andrew Manuel Crespo ’08 delivered a lecture titled “Root and Department: Attorneys, Actions, and The Finish of Mass Incarceration.” Professor Crespo’s analysis and scholarly experience heart on the institutional design, authorized frameworks, and energy constructions of the American penal system, and on the connection between attorneys, organizers, and social motion actors in effecting transformational change.
Along with his professorship, Professor Crespo is college director of the Institute to Finish Mass Incarceration, the place he works to develop modes of authorized observe that combine attorneys successfully and responsibly into organizer-led anti-carceral campaigns and actions.
