The Cambodia-China Folks-to-Folks Trade Yr, formally commenced in January 2024, marks a big milestone within the cultural diplomacy between Cambodia and China. The occasion was launched with a grand ceremony on the Terrace of the Elephants within the UNESCO-listed Angkor Archaeological Park, reflecting the historic significance and cultural heritage of the partnership.
In 2023, Cambodia and China elevated their bilateral relations to new top below the framework “Diamond Hexagon Cooperation” that’s centered on six precedence areas, together with people-to-people exchanges.
In a message celebrating the 2024 Cambodia-China Folks-to-Folks Trade Yr, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that, “I’m optimistic that the 2024 Cambodia-China Folks-to-Folks Trade Yr will present a brand new nice alternative to draw extra Chinese language vacationers and buyers to Cambodia, and the bonds of solidarity, friendship and diamond cooperation between our two nations and peoples might be even stronger”.
