My Hmong Lao fiancé said they don’t like Chinese Bananas because they look artificial. Her mother would bring bananas from the highland and she would outsell the bananas in town. She said bananas from the highland are natural.

Just a thought re bananas (I am not a vege/fruit expert), I am wondering if the bananas emission of Nitrogen etc, speed up the ripening/spoiling of the other fruits. I remember putting Avo's (not apprehended violence orders) in a bag with bananas to speed up the ripening process. I don't know; just a thought.
