hello from Hungary
👍video. I was asked for yellow fever card. It was a hassle to find it but did.
Excellent tips. Regarding pages in a passport, U.S. ones come in 28 and 52 pages. Same price. If you run out of pages you need a get another passport. Same price as the previous document.
Speaking of using the exact same name as your passport when buying a ticket… if you have a very popular name but you spell yours just a tad different, be very careful when buying a ticket online that your device doesn't spellcheck and "correct" your name to the standard spelling. Happened to me more than once!
Over a decade ago I was doing a visa run to Oman from Dubai but had a hard time getting back over to Dubai. My American passport had a visible like thread and the one immigration officer just could not believe it was a genuine passport and my nationality was American.
😎if you come to vancouver i will show you around.
Used Holafly once…..it was brilliant! Now I wouldn't go anywhere without it!
Great video and very informative. But you forgot something that seems incredibly obvious but it still happens quite a bit.
And I'm not even joking about this. People book expensive trips and don't even check the validity of their passport. This is an issue that probably should have been covered even though it seems obvious to look before you book LOL
The reason you need to full pages is need one page for Visa on arrival which will take a whole page. And then you have to have a second page so that you can have a stamp. Which requires two spots, want to come into the country and one to leave. Thus the required to full blank pages.
In Guatemala, if you overstay your Visa, you can fix it at the airport, BUT allow a TON of extra time. You have to go to a special office where they will calculate the fine you owe (it's not much, 15 Quetzales or about $2 per day). Once they calculate your fine (which is a slow process), they will give you a piece of paper which you have to take upstairs to the bank (where you will have to wait in line), you give the teller the paper, and must pay your fine in cash (Quetiizales). They will give you a receipt which you must take downstairs to the original office. They will then ok you to go through emigration and security. If your flight is before the bank opens, you are screwed.
eSIMs work only if your phone is paid off. ☹️
is much helpful if you can list a summary or key points under the description instead of just talking for the whole video. Thanks.
In a recent story on my local newscast, a woman was denied boarding because the name on her plane ticket matched the name on her credit card but not the name on her passport. I'll be flying domestically at the end of January, and my cards do not include my middle name, which my official government ID does, so I will be double-checking my plane ticket to make sure that it shows the correct name. Safe travels everyone!
Ohhh the visa for connecting flights one. I’m about to book 3 different international flights so this is a good reminder.
One of these could very easily have happened to my friend. When her parents immigrated, their surname had been simplified which they figured helped because then people here could pronounce it easier. They didn't really think about it, though all the kids had been registered under the original spelling. Also with my friend's first name, she grew up thinking her name was (not real name) Anne Marie but when she got her birth cert. at 18yrs old (and applied for a passport), she found her name was Marie Anne and then the surname had the ethnic spelling LOL. So when I was giving her info to the travel agent, I had to be very careful what order to give it in because for 50+ years it was the other way 'round.
Are You in Villa de Leyva?
2:06 Interesting Filming Angle…
Thanks for all the tips. I am going on a 2 month trip to several countries and this video will help me a lot.
Loving your videos
Yep. I needed a connection visa for Auckland Airport even though I wasn't entering NZ. Ridiculous yet I needed to have it.
Let´s see…got denied going from Brasil to Costa Rica due the Yellow Fever requirement..that I was not aware of. Also, some countries have switched to 100 % digital immigration and dont write/stamp your passport, so be careful with that. Oh..and watch out how many drinks you have waiting for your flight…that can also get you denied 😉
